We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Carpenter at Protech Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of carpentry and construction activities across various commercial, industrial, maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out projects. This role involves interpreting plans, constructing and installing building elements, undertaking repair and remedial works, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Australian building standards and workplace safety requirements.

Main Tasks and Duties

- Study drawings, specifications and work orders to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Measure, mark and cut timber, wood-based products and other construction materials according to project specifications.
- Construct, install and repair building frameworks, walls, partitions, floors, ceilings, roofing structures and other structural components.
- Install doors, windows, frames, skirting boards, architraves, cabinetry and other internal and external fittings.
- Carry out maintenance, refurbishment, fit-out and remedial carpentry works for commercial and industrial buildings.




- Assemble and erect formwork and other temporary structures required for construction projects.
- Use hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Examine and verify completed work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and Australian building standards.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing structures, fixtures and building components.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespersons and project personnel to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
- Ensure materials, equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.

Core Capabilities & Requirements

- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant carpentry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial, industrial or construction projects.
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and Australian building standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Current White Card (preferred).
- Current Driver Licence (preferred).
