VTAS is an architectural, urban, landscape and interior design studio with over 25 years experience in project design and delivery. We’re looking for a highly organised Project Assistant to join our growing architecture and modular housing team. This is a hands-on role supporting our architects and project managers across a range of residential, education, and modular building projects.

About the Role

You’ll assist with day-to-day project coordination, communication, and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in design innovation, construction, or planning who wants to develop their career in a professional design environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Communicate with clients, consultants, and suppliers by phone and email
- Prepare and format project documents (Word, Excel, PDF)
- Manage data entry and maintain project records
- Assist with quote preparation and issuing invoices
- Track incoming invoices and payments
- Support project reporting and scheduling




- Assist with graphic material for proposals and presentations (basic layout or design skills a plus)

Skills and Experience

- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Robust understanding of AU planning system is highly desirable
- Confident speaking with clients, consultants, and suppliers — this role involves a lot of conversation and relationship-building
- Sales or customer service experience is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/ Affinity desirable but not essential
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Previous experience in an architectural, construction, or planning environment (even at entry level) will be highly regarded
