Position Overview

n

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer to provide advanced network support across a critical Operational Technology (OT) environment. The role focuses on enterprise networking, network security, load balancing, proxy services, and network time synchronisation.
n The successful candidate will work closely with IT, OT, engineering, cybersecurity, and operational teams to maintain secure, reliable, and highly available network services.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide Level 3 support for complex network incidents, problems, and outages.
n
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Dell PowerSwitch network infrastructure.
n
- Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs, and routing.
n
- Support F5 Load Balancers, including virtual servers, pools, health monitors, and SSL/TLS.
n
- Support and troubleshoot Squid Proxy services and configurations.
n
- Maintain and troubleshoot Trimble GPS Clock and network time synchronisation services.
n
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and network connectivity.
n
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
n
- Support network security, segmentation, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
n




- Perform network installations, upgrades, maintenance, and technology refresh activities.
n
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
n
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
n

Essential Skills & Experience

n

n
- 5+ years' experience in network engineering or a similar technical role.
n
- Proven Level 3 network troubleshooting and support experience.
n
- Solid hands-on experience with Dell PowerSwitch or equivalent.
n
- Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
n
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers.
n
- Experience with Squid Proxy or equivalent proxy technologies.
n
- Experience with Trimble GPS Clock, NTP, PTP, or network time synchronisation.
n
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, NAT, and network security.
n
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
n
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and support critical operational environments.
n
- Experience in OT, utilities, energy, mining, manufacturing, or other critical infrastructure is highly desirable.
