Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor Socialisha is a growing, women-founded and led social media marketing agency based in Melbourne. We work with businesses across a huge range of industries, from construction and real estate to health, wellness, beauty, hospitality, retail and professional services.

We’re looking for a

Content Creator & Video Editor

to join our growing creative team and help us produce high-quality, engaging content for our clients across Instagram and TikTok.

You’ll be someone who understands

social media, short-form video and what makes people stop scrolling

not just someone who knows how to put clips together.

The Role You’ll be responsible for:

Editing high-quality

Instagram Reels & TikToks

Turning raw footage into engaging, polished short-form content

Creating strong hooks, pacing, transitions, text overlays, captions and effects

Editing content across a wide range of industries and brand styles

Adapting your editing style to suit different businesses, audiences and content goals

Creating trend-driven and platform-native social content

Working with footage from our content shoots

Staying up to date with Instagram and TikTok trends, formats and editing styles

Collaborating with our social media managers, graphic designers and content creators

Managing multiple clients and content deadlines

What We’re Looking For

Advanced / exceptional proficiency in CapCut Pro — essential

Strong experience editing short-form content specifically for

Instagram & TikTok

A strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling and audience retention





Excellent attention to detail and a strong creative eye

Ability to create content that feels

professional, engaging and native to social media

Ability to adapt your editing style across completely different industries and brand identities

Rapid, organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Comfortable working independently and as part of a creative team

Available approximately

25 hours per week

Able to work

at least 2 days per week from our Brunswick East office

Software & Technical Skills Essential:

CapCut Pro — advanced proficiency

Bonus if you also have experience with:

DaVinci Resolve

Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Creative Suite

Motion graphics and animation

AI video and creative tools

Colour grading

Professional video editing workflows

Bonus: Videography & Photography We’d love someone who can do more than just edit.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

Professional

videography

Shooting content on professional cameras, not just iPhone

Photography

Camera settings, lighting, framing and composition

Creating both professional-camera and iPhone content

Directing talent and creating content on location

Understanding how to capture footage specifically with the final social edit in mind

This is not just an iPhone content role.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely understands video, editing and social media and can create content that looks professionally produced while still feeling authentic and native to Instagram and TikTok.
