TechSpace is a Gold Coast phone and device repair business with stores at Robina Town Centre and Stockland Burleigh Heads. We're looking for an experienced Repair Technician to join our Robina team.
This is a hands-on bench role. You'll spend your day diagnosing and repairing phones, tablets and laptops for walk-in customers, with the tools, parts and support to do the job properly.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnose and repair iPhone, Samsung and other Android phones – screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, back glass
- Repair iPads, tablets, MacBooks and Windows laptops
- Software troubleshooting, data transfers and device setup
- Quote customers accurately and explain the fix in plain language
- Test every device thoroughly before it goes back to the customer
- Keep the bench, tools and parts organised and log jobs in our repair system
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience repairing mobile phones (more is welcome)
- Confident with iPhone and Samsung screen and battery replacements
- Strong troubleshooting skills – you work out what's actually wrong,
not just swap parts
- Positive with customers: transparent, patient and honest about what can and can't be fixed
- Reliable and organised, comfortable managing your own queue of jobs
- Able to work at either our Robina or Burleigh Heads store as needed
Nice to have (not essential)
- Micro-soldering or board-level repair
- MacBook and laptop repair experience
- Experience with RepairDesk or a similar repair-shop POS
What's in it for you
- $65,000 – $80,000 base depending on experience, plus sales commission on accessories and add-ons
- Full-time and casual positions available
- Well-equipped bench, quality parts and a team that backs you
- Real career growth – we promote from within, with a clear path to team lead or store manager for the right person
- Staff discounts on products and services
Sound like you? Apply with your resume and a few lines about the repairs you're most confident with.
