ABOUT THE ROLE

n

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our Hotel Services team in a permanent full‐time capacity. We are seeking an individual who is able to both assist the head chef and step up as a cook when required.

n

In this hands‐on role, you will deliver safe, high‐quality, dining experience that supports residents' independence, dignity and wellbeing, in line with Evergreen's mission and HEART values.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the chef with food preparation and meal services
n
- Deliver food to residents, ensuring a high quality dining experience
n
- Maintain a safe, quiet and secure environment, including cleaning and maintenance tasks and preparation as required.
n
- Ensure kitchens and dining facilities are kept clean, safe and well presented
n
- Work collaboratively with other team members to support the overall operations of the facility.
n
- Assisting with setup of morning and afternoon tea
n
- Prepare beverage trolleys and service of beverages to residents
n

ABOUT YOU

You are a reliable and motivated individual who is passionate about food services and providing a high quality dining experience. You bring a person‐centred approach and take pride in delivering high‐quality in a team‐based environment.

You will possess:

n

n
- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
n
- Knowledge of Food Safety Principles
n
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Principles
n
- A versatile and adaptable can‐do attitude
n
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
n
- Experience working in catering, and preferably in an Aged Care setting
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members.
n
- A commitment to resident privacy, confidentiality and safe work practices.
n
- A current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one).
n
- Willingness to participate in a pre-employment medical assessment.
n
