Country Care Support Services is a growing regional disability and aged care provider committed to delivering reliable, person-centred support within our local communities.

n

We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to join our team across Horsham, Donald, St Arnaud and surrounding areas.

n

We support people across different stages of life, including children, adults and older people. We are looking for workers who are comfortable supporting a diverse range of participants and clients and can adapt their approach to each person's individual needs.

n

Previous experience working in disability support, aged care, children's services, youth work, community services or similar roles will be highly regarded.

n

About the Role

n

As a Support Worker, you will provide individualised support based on each person's needs, preferences, goals and support plan.

n

Duties may include:

n

n
- Social and community participation
n
- Assistance with daily living activities
n
- Personal care where required
n
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
n
- Transport to appointments, activities and community events
n
- Supporting independence and development of everyday living skills
n
- Providing age-appropriate support to children and young people
n
- Supporting older people to remain safe, independent and connected within their homes and communities
n
- Companionship and social support
n
- Supporting routines, emotional regulation and community engagement
n
- Following individual support plans, care plans and risk management strategies
n
- Completing accurate case notes and required documentation
n
- Communicating professionally with participants, clients, families and other professionals
n

Supporting Children & Young People

n





Some of the people we support are children and young people.

n

We are looking for workers who are comfortable, patient and confident working with children and their families.

n

Experience supporting children or young people is desirable, particularly within disability, youth work, education, childcare, behavioural support or community services.

n

Workers must be able to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and following individual support strategies.

n

Supporting Older People

n

Our team also provides support to older people living within our regional communities.

n

Applicants should be comfortable working with older clients and providing respectful, dignified and person-centred support.

n

This may include assistance with daily living, domestic tasks, community access, appointments, companionship and helping clients maintain their independence at home.

n

Previous aged care or home care experience is highly regarded, particularly experience supporting older people with changing mobility, health or daily living needs.

Previous disability or aged care experience is highly regarded; however, applicants with relevant transferable experience and the right values are also encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will need to hold or be willing to obtain relevant requirements for the role, which may include:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Current First Aid and CPR
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience where applicable
n
