ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced General Dentist currently registered and practising in Australia who is interested in relocating to a rural community in New England, USA, for a full-time salaried position.

This opportunity is intended for an experienced clinician who is comfortable providing comprehensive general dentistry and is willing to reside and work full-time in the community for a minimum of two years.

The position is located in a New England state that provides a licensure-by-endorsement pathway for qualifying experienced dentists licensed in foreign jurisdictions.

Candidates with at least three consecutive years of qualifying dental practice and a substantially equivalent dental license maintained in good standing may be eligible for state dental licensure by endorsement.

The employer will provide assistance throughout the licensure process, including credential evaluation, professional license verification and preparation of required documentation.

For eligible Australian citizens, we will also sponsor and assist with the appropriate U.S. employment visa process.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must

- Hold a recognised dental degree
- Have a minimum of three consecutive years of active clinical practice as a dentist
- Hold current unrestricted general registration as a dentist with the Dental Board of Australia through Ahpra
- Maintain professional registration in good standing
- Have no current suspension, restriction, unresolved disciplinary proceeding or significant professional conduct issue affecting the ability to practise dentistry
- Be competent and comfortable performing molar root canal treatment
- Be experienced in crown preparation and delivery
- Be competent in restorative dentistry
- Be comfortable performing routine dental extractions
- Be comfortable performing surgical extractions within the scope of general dental practice
- Be capable of independently evaluating, diagnosing and treatment-planning general dental patients
- Be willing to relocate to and reside full-time in the rural New England community
- Be willing to make a minimum two-year employment commitment

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES The successful dentist will provide comprehensive general dental services, including:
- Comprehensive examinations, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Restorative dentistry




- Anterior and posterior composite restorations
- Crown and bridge procedures
- Molar and anterior root canal treatment
- Simple extractions
- Surgical extractions
- Emergency dental treatment
- Removable prosthodontics where appropriate
- Preventive and comprehensive general dental care
- Straight-Wire Orthodontics for appropriately selected cases, where the dentist has suitable training and experience

STRAIGHT-WIRE ORTHODONTIC EXPERIENCE Experience with Straight-Wire Orthodontics is highly desirable, though not required. Training and mentorship availabble in diagnosing and treating straightforward orthodontic cases using conventional fixed appliances and Straight-Wire techniques.
- Orthodontic diagnosis and case selection
- Fixed orthodontic appliances
- Straight-Wire appliance systems
- Bracket placement and bonding
- Archwire sequencing
- Alignment and levelling
- Space management and closure
- Treatment of appropriate Class I and selected uncomplicated orthodontic cases
- Orthodontic retention
- Appropriate identification and referral of complex orthodontic cases

Candidates with previous postgraduate continuing education or hands-on training in Straight-Wire Orthodontics are encouraged to provide details of their training and clinical experience. Experience in orthodontics is highly desirable but is not required for otherwise well-qualified candidates with solid general dentistry skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- Base salary equivalent to approximately AUD $240,000 per year (or U.S. dollar equivalent)

U.S. DENTAL LICENSURE The position is located in a New England state with an endorsement pathway for qualifying experienced dentists who have been licensed and actively practising in another jurisdiction, including qualifying foreign jurisdictions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are not seeking a new graduate.

We are looking for an experienced, confident general dentist who can independently manage a broad general dentistry caseload.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable completing molar endodontic treatment, crowns and routine oral surgery rather than routinely referring these procedures.

Experience providing Straight-Wire Orthodontics is a significant advantage, particularly for candidates comfortable managing appropriately selected fixed orthodontic cases within the scope of general dental practice.

The successful candidate should be genuinely interested in relocating to the United States and living in a rural Recent England community for at least two years.

This is a full-time relocation opportunity and is not a fly-in/fly-out or rotational position.
