Generalist Lawyer – 4+ Years PQE

Full-time | On-site | Knoxfield / Pakenham, Victoria

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Generalist Lawyer with a minimum of three years’ post-admission experience to join our growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys variety, wants to develop a genuinely broad practice, and is comfortable taking responsibility for their own files while working as part of a supportive team.

The Role The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of matters, including:

- Criminal law;
- Wills and estates, including estate planning, probate and estate litigation;
- Family law;
- Commercial law; and
- Other general litigation and advisory matters arising within the practice.

The precise mix of work can be tailored to the successful applicant’s existing experience, interests and areas in which they wish to further develop their practice.

Experience in, and confidence with, court appearances and advocacy will be highly regarded. Depending on the successful applicant’s areas of practice and caseload, some interstate travel may also be required from time to time.

About You To be considered for this position, you must:

- Have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE;
- Hold an unrestricted Australian practising certificate, or be eligible to hold one – this is an essential requirement;




- Be capable of managing files with an appropriate level of autonomy;
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail and effective file management;
- Be comfortable working across different areas of law and adapting to a varied caseload; and
- Be committed to providing practical, client-focused legal advice.

Location

This is an on-site position.

The successful applicant will initially be based at our Knoxfield office for the first three months, allowing for induction, integration with the team and familiarisation with the practice.

Following the initial three-month period, there will be an opportunity to be based primarily from either our Knoxfield or Pakenham office, depending on the needs of the practice and the successful applicant’s preference.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
