Hargreaves Design Group is a well-established building design practice celebrating 27 years in business.

With three offices across Western Australia and Victoria, we provide residential, commercial and industrial building design services to a broad range of private clients, builders, developers and commercial organisations.

Due to continued growth and workload, we are seeking an experienced Building Designer or Graduate Architect to join our team.

The successful applicant may be based in our Bunbury, Pakenham or Ringwood East office, with the opportunity for flexible remote work once training and integration into our systems is complete.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Building Designer or Graduate Architect with ideally 5 years' experience working within the Western Australian building design industry.

You will need to be confident dealing directly with clients and capable of progressing projects from the initial design brief through to completed documentation.

Projects include

- Luxury custom homes
- Medium-density residential developments
- Builder-designed homes
- Extensions and renovations
- Retail projects




- Hospitality projects
- Public and commercial developments

For candidates based in our Victorian offices, the role will primarily involve working on Western Australian projects alongside our Bunbury team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful applicants must have

- 5 years' relevant building design experience, preferably within WA
- Strong Revit skills
- Excellent knowledge of the WA R-Codes and NCC
- Good understanding of estate guidelines, MCPs and developer requirements
- Strong residential and commercial construction knowledge
- Ability to interpret a design brief and complete drawings with minimal supervision
- Ability to conduct client meetings and site measures
- Experience coordinating councils, consultants and relevant authorities
- Ability to manage client expectations and project deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and written English communication skills

Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
