Position Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Robotics Engineer to support the development, testing and implementation of robotic and automated solutions for industrial applications. The role will work closely with equipment manufacturers, technology suppliers and engineering teams in Australia and China; therefore, professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the research, selection and development of robotic and automation technologies.
- Support the programming, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of robotic equipment.
- Communicate technical requirements, drawings and test results with Mandarin-speaking manufacturers and suppliers.
- Translate technical discussions, manuals, specifications and correspondence between Mandarin and English.
- Assist with factory acceptance testing, equipment inspections and supplier visits in China.
- Develop 3D models, equipment layouts, prototypes and engineering drawings.
- Support 3D scanning, 3D printing, computer vision, sensors and remote-control technologies.




- Conduct equipment trials and collect and analyse performance, productivity and reliability data.
- Prepare technical reports, operating procedures, risk assessments and training materials.
- Work with project and site teams to integrate robotic systems into industrial operations.
- Ensure all activities comply with Australian safety requirements, company procedures and client standards.
- Provide technical support during equipment deployment, commissioning and field trials.
- Monitor developments in robotics, artificial intelligence and industrial automation.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Graduate or early-career engineer with up to two years of relevant experience.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
- Basic knowledge of robotic systems, automation, sensors and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical-report-writing skills.
- Willingness to undertake practical workshop and site-based work.
- Willingness to travel within Australia and internationally, particularly to China.
- Eligible to work in Australia.

Desirable

- Experience with robot programming, PLCs, Python, C++,



ROS or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Experience with 3D scanning, point-cloud processing, reverse engineering or 3D printing.
- Knowledge of machine vision, artificial intelligence or autonomous systems.
- Exposure to mining, oil and gas, construction, fabrication, surface protection or industrial maintenance.
- Australian driver’s license.
- White Card or willingness to obtain one.

Reporting The Graduate Robotics Engineer will report to the Technology and Innovation Manager or nominated Engineering Manager and will work closely with project teams, site personnel, suppliers and technology partners.

Applicants must be fluent in both Mandarin and English and must be currently based in Perth.
