Position Summary The Grounds Keeper is fundamental in ensuring the buildings, facilities and grounds at Camp Eagle Eye are consistently maintained and well presented for Customers, Scouts Members, Parents, Volunteers and other visitors/users to enjoy.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Regularly mow and trim lawns and edges to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
- Remove debris from paths, grassed areas, flowerbeds, and entrances to ensure a clean environment.
- Weed and water gardens to support healthy plant growth and presentation.
- Liaise with the Site Manager and Caretaker to prepare the grounds in response to bushfire risks,



in line with Rural Fire Service guidelines.
- Ensure drains are clear to prevent flooding on roads and pathways.
- Report any damage or defects to the Site Manager and Caretaker for timely repair arrangements.
- Keep all outdoor surfaces free from moss and weeds.
- Clean pits and drains in toilet blocks regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensure all outdoor areas are free of litter and recycle materials where appropriate.

Key Capabilities & Requirements Qualification, Training & Experience

- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate in Asset and Maintenance Management (desirable).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in gardening, grounds, or asset maintenance preferably in a bush setting.

- Sound judgement

- Excellent time management and ability to plan.

Essential Requirements

- Right to work in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Drivers Licence
