As a Day Cook at GYG Hawthorn, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen through our evening and late night trade, working with fresh ingredients and vibrant Mexican flavours, following the GYG recipe guide to deliver quality food for our guests right up until close.
We open at 7am on Glenferrie Road, right next to Swinburne Uni, so this role suits early birds, students, and anyone who wants consistent morning shifts with penalty rates on weekends.
What you'll be doing
- Cooking and prepping on the hot line during breakfast and lunch service
- Following GYG recipes and food safety standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready for the next day
- Working closely with a tight, supportive crew

Who we're looking for You don't need years of experience, we provide full training. What matters is reliability, a good attitude, and being comfortable working mornings. Kitchen experience is a bonus.
