Job Description

Belcher Diesel Service Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our Townsville team.

n

This full-time role offers varied work across commercial and recreational marine vessels, mobile plant, light vehicles, light trucks and power generation equipment. You'll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a broad range of diesel-powered equipment, with a mix of workshop and field-based work.

Key responsibilities

n

Service, diagnose and repair diesel engines and associated systems.

n

Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.

n

Diagnose mechanical, electrical and fuel system faults.

n

Carry out general repairs, engine removals and installations where required.

n

Attend customer sites and carry out field service work.

n

Complete job cards and maintain accurate service records.

n

Deliver high-quality workmanship and professional customer service.

n

Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily operational goals.

About you

n

Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic,



Light Vehicle Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.

n

Experience across one or more of the following areas: marine, mobile plant, automotive, light trucks or power generation.

n

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

n

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

Own basic hand tools.

n

A positive attitude and professional approach.

n

Experience across multiple industries will be highly regarded; however, applicants with strong mechanical experience in one area who are keen to broaden their skills are encouraged to apply.
