About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Haulage Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day haulage of dry gypsum at our Lake Macleod operation, near Carnarvon, Western Australia. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to an experienced heavy transport or mining professional who can confidently lead a team, coordinate daily operations and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating haulage activities, supervising operators and a site mechanic, monitoring production and maintaining effective communication between site personnel and management.

The project is currently in place until February 2027, with a view of a 12 month extension.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily gypsum haulage operation
- Lead, support and manage haulage personnel and mechanic which consists of a blend of FIFO and local people
- Coordinate daily work activities, equipment, manning and resources
- Monitor production and ensure operational and haulage targets are achieved
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, company policies and relevant legislation
- Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise
- Complete daily reporting, records and operational documentation
- Review daily digital pre-start reports to align maintenance required with the workshop, and follow up any outstanding daily pre-starts
- Communicate effectively with internal and stakeholder management, employees and other site personnel
- Maintain high standards of routine maintenance management in conjunction with the Workshop Supervisor
- Provide hands-on support to the operation when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:




- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within heavy haulage, transport, mining, civil or a similar industry
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a demanding operational setting
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles with an 18-speed Road Ranger transmission, 988 loader and D8 dozer
- Strong understanding of heavy vehicle operations and safe work practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills with the ability to complete reports, review haulage plans, and general administration
- Understanding of Employment Relations and performance management processes
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A proactive, self-motivated and hands-on approach
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and make sound operational decisions
- A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Current Australian driver's licence and relevant heavy vehicle licences
