About the role To safely and efficiently carry out the manufacture, maintenance, repair, and modification of heavy vehicle bodies and trailers, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

- Manufacture and assemble heavy vehicle bodies and components

- Carry out trailer servicing, maintenance, and repairs

- Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, and fitting

- Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and job instructions

- Conduct pre-start checks on tools and equipment

- Identify and report safety hazards, defects, or quality issues

- Maintain workshop cleanliness and comply with WHS procedures

- Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts or other equipment (where licensed)

- Work flexibly across different tasks as required by workload

About you

- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Body Building or Boilermaker/Welding(or equivalent)

- Understanding of workshop safety practices

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Robust safety focus

- Versatile and adaptable approach to work

- Reliable, punctual, and well organised

- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

- Takes pride in workmanship and quality
