Perth Waldorf School Invites applications for High School English Teacher - 0.7 – 0.8FTE Commencing, Term 1, 2027
Perth Waldorf School is seeking an engaging and passionate High School English Teacher to join our High School faculty from the beginning of 2027.
This is a 0.7–0.8 FTE position, with some flexibility in the final teaching load depending on the skills, experience and interests of the successful applicant.
We are looking for a teacher who loves literature, language and working with young people, and who can bring English alive through thoughtful, creative and academically rigorous teaching.
The Role The position will primarily involve teaching Main Lessons and English subject lessons across Classes 8–12.
Depending on the successful applicant's experience and skill set, the role may also include teaching Humanities and/or other areas of the High School curriculum.
Our Main Lesson program provides extended periods of immersive learning, allowing teachers and students to explore literature, history, culture and ideas in depth. Alongside Main Lessons, weekly English lessons provide continuity in the development of writing, reading, analysis, communication and critical thinking.
The final composition of the 0.7–0.8 FTE role can therefore be shaped to make good use of the strengths of the successful applicant.

- is interested in learning about and working within the principles of Steiner/Waldorf education.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must
- hold, or be eligible to hold, current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration
- hold a current Working with Children Check
- have the right to work in Australia (there is no prospect for sponsorship)
