What You’ll Do

As our People & Culture Manager, you’ll guide us across the employment lifecycle and assist us in ensuring our workplace is a safe, inclusive and empowering workplace to ensure we support our leaders, engage our workforce, optimise performance and minimise risk to our College.

- Operate as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees
- Managing risk across the employment lifecycle
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and processes on an ongoing basis
- Delivery of all recruitment and onboarding activities
- Managing the employee separation process
- Generating and analysing HR metrics and reports
- Management of NAISDA’s Workplace Health & Safety obligations
- Building learning and development pathways
- Strengthening organisational culture by embedding First Nations values, protocols, and ways of working
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments

About You

Tertiary degree in HR or equivalent work experience and qualifications

Previous experience in a similar leadership role

Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the impact these issues have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, societies and culture

Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.





Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times

In-depth knowledge and experience working with employment legislation and industrial instruments

Demonstrated influencing skills

Business acumen

Excellent verbal and written communication

Proven ability to investigate and solve problems / develop recommendations

Experience and knowledge of a diverse range of Human Resources functions

Ability to work under pressure

Strong capability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy at all times

Commitment to teamwork and ability to juggle multiple completing priorities

Willingness to work outside standard hours when required, specifically where workload or deadlines require

AHRI membership
