Due to continued growth across North Queensland, Peak ARE is looking for a reliable and motivated Junior Storeman / Warehouse Assistant to join our Townsville team in a permanent, full-time position.

This is an opportunity for someone who may not have warehouse experience yet but is keen to learn, work hard and build their skills in a hands-on role.

n

Previous warehouse experience is not essential. We're more interested in finding the right person — someone reliable, switched on, willing to learn and happy to get in and help wherever needed.

n

You'll work with our team to help keep our field and project crews moving by ensuring materials, equipment and tools are organised and ready when they need them.

n

About the Role

n

Working from our Townsville Head Office, you'll learn and assist with the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, stores and yard.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Receiving, checking and organising incoming materials and equipment
n
- Preparing materials and equipment for field and project teams
n
- Assisting with deliveries and collections to jobsites and suppliers
n
- Assisting with stock control and keeping materials properly stored
n
- Helping manage company tools, equipment and other assets
n
- Keeping the warehouse, stores and yard clean, organised and functional
n
- Learning to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
n
- Working with our Mechanical, Electrical, Service and Administration teams
n
- Following Peak ARE WHS&E; requirements, policies and procedures
n

You don't need years of experience or a heap of tickets. Attitude and reliability are more important to us.

Licences & Requirements

n

n
- Current Open Driver Licence (or equivalent)
n
- Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one
n
- Must be 18 years of age or older
n
- Forklift licence is NOT essential — Peak ARE will provide forklift training and licensing for the right candidate
n
- Able to perform the physical requirements of a hands‐on warehouse role
n
- Any previous warehouse experience or additional licences/tickets such as MR licence, forklift, EWP/scissor lift, vehicle loading crane or dogging would be highly regarded, but they are not essential.
