Human Resources Coordinator | 3-Month Contract Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join a respected community-focused organisation in Cairns on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to step into a broad generalist role, partnering with managers and employees across the organisation to deliver high-quality HR services, workforce support and employee life cycle activities.

Your new role
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will support the day-to-day delivery of HR services across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes
- Preparing employment contracts, correspondence and HR documentation
- Maintaining employee records and administering HR systems
- Supporting employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances and workplace investigations
- Interpreting employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and policies
- Preparing HR reports and analysing workforce data and trends
- Supporting policy development, compliance activities and workforce initiatives
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Human Resources Coordinator, HR Advisor or Senior HR Officer role
- Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
- Experience providing HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle
- Exposure to employee relations processes, including performance management and workplace investigations
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining confidential employee records
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience
