About the role

Eureka Wastewater is seeking an experienced HSTP Service Agent to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Caboolture, QLD 4510. As an HSTP Service Agent, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing household sewage treatment plants (HSTPs) for our valued customers.

This position is essential to ensuring that wastewater systems operate efficiently and reliably, whilst maintaining compliance with environmental and health regulations. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and environmental protection in the local community.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct routine maintenance and service inspections on household sewage treatment plants
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and failures, implementing appropriate corrective actions
- Perform repairs and replacements of system components, including pumps, filters, and control mechanisms
- Empty and desludge treatment tanks in accordance with environmental regulations and safety protocols
- Test and monitor water quality parameters to ensure compliance
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers regarding proper system operation and maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance logs and customer documentation
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and resolve urgent system issues
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain work performed and recommendations for ongoing care

What we're looking for

- Desirable but not essential - Proven experience in servicing and maintaining household sewage treatment plants or similar wastewater systems
- Sound knowledge of HSTP systems, including mechanical and electrical components

- Current driving licence
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills




- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
- Physical capability to perform manual handling and work in various weather conditions
- Outstanding customer service skills and skilled communication abilities
- Desirable but not essential - Relevant qualifications or certifications in wastewater management
- Commitment to safety and demonstrated safe work practices
