About the role…
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our afternoon team at Whittingham.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from fostering a positive company culture to employee recruitment, development, and wellbeing. Your duties will span across various areas of the business including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, compliance, workers compensation, performance management, employee engagement, separation processes, and, most importantly, contributing to building a positive workplace culture.
About the job…
Working in our People & Culture Team you will assist in
- Liaising and supporting the managers and supervisors with employee concerns and management.
- Proactively managing employees across, absenteeism, welfare and disciplinary action as required.
- Be the point of contact for employees and staff for HR queries.
- Ensuring on-going compliance in relation to visa programs (e.g. 482, WHM, PALM Scheme).
- The end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding ensuring a seamless experience.
- Oversee daily implementation of HR related policies and procedures.
- Support induction and training efforts to ensure people are effectively integrated into the company.
- Support Senior Leadership in efforts to drive operational and cultural changes.
About You…
With no two days the same, the ideal candidate will be solutions focused, flexible, have a growth mindset and be able to instill a culture of continuous development, collaboration and teamwork. Ideally, you will have –
- Previous experience in an HR support role
- Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills,
- Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Understanding of Australian workplace legislation, Fair Work Act, and visa/work rights obligations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Genuine willingness to learn, engage in on-the-job training, and take on challenging projects.
- Experience working with multicultural workforces highly regarded,
- Ideally have a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Human Resources, or a related field.
Please note this is an in-office role that does not allow for working from home.
Additionally, we are located in an area not accessible by public transport, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s License and have their own transport.
