HVAC Draftsperson – Mechanical Piping

High-Profile Hyperscale Data Centre Project

$100k-$140k + Super The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HVAC Draftsperson to join a major mechanical contractor delivering a high-profile hyperscale data centre project.

This role will have a particular focus on mechanical piping, with the successful candidate responsible for producing detailed, construction-ready drawings and supporting the delivery team through the workshop, fabrication and installation phases of the project.

We're particularly interested in Draftspersons who have come from a workshop detailing or fabrication background and have a robust understanding of mechanical piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce detailed Revit drawings and models for mechanical HVAC and piping systems.
- Develop detailed workshop/fabrication drawings for mechanical piping.
- Prepare spool, fabrication and installation drawings.
- Coordinate piping routes with HVAC, structural, electrical and other building services.
- Work closely with the workshop, site and project teams to ensure drawings are practical and fabrication-ready.
- Review designs and identify potential clashes or constructability issues.
- Incorporate site and design changes into drawings and models.
- Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Maintain accurate drawing registers and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For




- Previous experience as an HVAC / Mechanical Draftsperson within commercial construction, mechanical contracting or building services.
- Strong experience with mechanical piping detailing.
- Workshop detailing / fabrication experience is highly desirable.
- Strong Revit capability is essential.
- Good understanding of mechanical services, HVAC systems and construction methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and designs.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial or data centre projects would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of how designs translate into fabrication and installation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, workshop teams and site personnel.
