Location: Buderim, Sunshine Coast QLD
n Rate: $82.78 per hour + Super
n Hours: Up to 40 hours per week | Monday–Friday
n Start Date: 1 October 2026

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Advisor (AO6) to join the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), North Coast Region.

n

Based in Buderim, you will support the delivery of major Sunshine Coast transport infrastructure projects, including The Wave Stage 3 (Metro) and the Mooloolah River Interchange Upgrade.

n

The Role Working within the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team, you will partner closely with TMR project teams, contractors and stakeholders to coordinate communications and engagement throughout project delivery.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Develop and deliver project communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
n
- Manage communications between TMR, contractors, stakeholders and the community.
n
- Provide strategic advice on stakeholder issues, risks and reputation management.
n
- Coordinate construction notifications, community engagement and stakeholder briefings.
n
- Build relationships with contractors, councils, businesses,



government agencies and community groups.
n
- Review communications and consultation materials to ensure quality and consistency.
n
- Monitor stakeholder feedback and emerging community issues.
n
- Support communications across multiple project and contractor interfaces.
n

About You

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Strong communications and stakeholder engagement experience within major infrastructure, construction or transport projects.
n
- Experience working with contractors, alliance teams, joint ventures or integrated project teams.
n
- Experience managing construction impacts and stakeholder issues.
n
- Excellent written, verbal and relationship management skills.
n
- Ability to translate technical information into explicit communications.
n
- Solid judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n

Highly regarded

n

IAP2 certification and/or tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.

n
