Ced Wise AB Services is seeking a full-time Bovine Reproduction Technician to join our team. This unique position combines hands-on commercial bovine reproduction services with the development and implementation of new reproductive technologies. The role will generally be divided between commercial reproduction work and technology development.

Responsibilities and duties

n

n
- Perform donor flushing, embryo collection and embryo transfer
n
- Undertake artificial insemination and other reproduction procedures
n
- Prepare and coordinate on-farm reproductive programs
n
- Work at Ced Wise AB Services facilities and customer properties
n
- Assist with the planning and establishment of current reproductive technologies
n
- Support research, trials, embryo production and data collection
n
- Develop laboratory plans, workflows, procedures and budgets
n
- Assist with equipment selection, consumables planning and procurement
n
- Contribute to laboratory quality assurance and operating systems
n

Qualifications, experience and skills:

n

n
- Relevant veterinary, animal science, embryology or reproduction qualification
n
- Practical bovine reproduction experience is essential
n
- Experience in artificial insemination, embryo transfer, donor flushing and ultrasound is required
n
- Strong cattle-handling and animal welfare skills
n
- Ability to work effectively in both field and laboratory environments
n
- Good planning, recordkeeping and communication skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during seasonal breeding programs
n
- Current driver's licence
