Second Nature Builders Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time position with sites based North Brisbane to Sunshine Coast. As a Site Carpenter, you will work on all aspects of the building process under the guidance of the Site Foreman and Site Manager. You will work on a variety of residential renovations, extensions and architectural builds, from initial construction through to finishing touches, ensuring precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail in every job.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials to precise specifications for various construction projects
n
- Install timber framing, wall studs, roof trusses, and other structural components according to architectural plans and building codes
n
- Construct and install custom cabinets, doors, windows, and other timber fixtures with meticulous attention to detail
n
- Assist with other trade processes to deliver the Projects under the supervision of the Site Foreman; for example tiling, linings, cladding, fix out & floor finishes
n
- Perform finishing work including sanding, staining, varnishing, and painting of timber surfaces
n
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
n
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure projects progress on schedule
n
- Maintain a clean, secure and organised work site, adhering to health and safety regulations
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A relevant carpentry qualification or apprenticeship completion, with demonstrated carpentry experience
n




- Strong technical knowledge of carpentry techniques and building materials
n
- Expertise in the safe operation of hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry
n
- Experience in both rough carpentry (framing) and finish carpentry (doors and fixout)
n
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety standards, and workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
n
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to project-specific challenges
n
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
n
- A current driver's licence, reliable transport to travel between job sites as well as carpentry tools.
