Our clients are currently looking for an experienced Hotel / Motel Manager to join their hospitality business in Regional New South Wales.

n

This is a full-time position offering a salary of approximately AUD $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

n

For a suitable candidate who meets the relevant eligibility requirements, Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa sponsorship may be available.

n

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the hotel/motel, ensuring high standards of customer service, staff performance, accommodation services and overall business operations.

n

The role requires a hands-on manager who is capable of managing staff, dealing with guests, supervising daily operations and ensuring the property operates efficiently.

n

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

n

Your duties may include:

n

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel or motel
n
- Planning and supervising accommodation, reception and guest services
n
- Managing reservations, bookings, check-ins and check-outs
n
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service
n
- Responding to guest enquiries, complaints and special requests
n
- Supervising and coordinating hotel/motel staff
n
- Recruiting, training and monitoring employees
n
- Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties
n
- Monitoring staff performance
n
- Ensuring rooms and common areas meet required presentation and cleanliness standards
n
- Coordinating housekeeping and maintenance requirements
n
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors
n




- Monitoring stock, supplies and operating costs
n
- Managing budgets and controlling expenses
n
- Monitoring occupancy levels and accommodation performance
n
- Assisting with pricing and room-rate strategies
n
- Maintaining operational and financial records
n
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Ensuring compliance with applicable hospitality and accommodation regulations
n
- Implementing procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction
n
- Managing problems and emergencies arising during hotel/motel operations
n
- Reporting to business owners or senior management regarding property performance
n

QUALIFICATIONS

n

Applicants should have:

n

n
- A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business/Hospitality or a closely related field
n
- Relevant experience working in hotel, motel or accommodation management
n
- Strong staff-management and organisational skills
n
- Good customer-service skills
n
- Strong communication skills
n
- Ability to manage the daily operation of an accommodation business
n
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for operational matters
n

n

Previous experience as a Hotel Manager, Motel Manager, Accommodation Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager or similar position will be highly regarded.
