Join a well-established underground production and development contractor with major contracts across Australia, in a long-term trade role at one site in North QLD.

- Genuine 2:2 roster across days and nights (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off).

- FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns via charter flights direct to site.

- Camp accommodation and all meals included, plus gym, pool and other onsite facilities.

The Role

n

Service, diagnose and repair a modern underground fleet, keeping equipment running safely and reliably for the production and development teams.

n

n
- Carry out scheduled servicing, breakdown repairs and fault-finding on underground mobile equipment.
n
- Work across a solid fleet of Sandvik, CAT and Normet drills, loaders and ancillary machinery.
n
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
n
- Complete accurate job cards, parts requests and maintenance records.
n
- Work closely with supervisors and the wider maintenance team to prioritise jobs and minimise downtime.

Your Value

n

We're after a qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter who can hit the ground running on underground mobile equipment.

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).
n
- Experience maintaining and repairing underground hard rock mobile equipment.
n
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
n
- Solid safety mindset and clear communication on site.
n
- Able to pass a full pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test and national police check.
n
- Current manual driver's licence.
n
