About the role

- Providing clients with legal advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and third-party contribution
- Regularly reviewing applicable case law and legislative changes
- Conducting effective legal research and analysis to produce timely, commercial and legally accurate advice
- Attending settlement conferences and mediations
- Instructing counsel at court applications and trials
- Managing a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectively




- Effective communication with stakeholders to achieve valued customer experience outcomes
- Developing an understanding of client operations and strategy
- Managing prospective client relationships

About you

- 1-4 years' PQE
- Law degree and admission to practice in Queensland
- Previous experience in managing workers' compensation common law claims is highly desirable
- Excellent work ethic and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
- A natural ability to build robust client relationships
- Emerging ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously
- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team
- Commercial acumen
- A strong, plain language communication style
