As our business continues to develop, we are looking for an IT Support Officer to support our day-to-day technology needs and help maintain reliable and efficient ICT systems across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Support Officer, you will provide technical support and guidance to staff and assist with the deployment, maintenance and effective use of the organisation’s computer systems, software, hardware and network infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing first-line technical support to staff and responding to enquiries relating to computer hardware, software, applications, networks and other ICT systems.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, system access and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Assessing users’ technical requirements and identifying appropriate hardware, software and system solutions to address operational needs and technical problems.
- Installing, configuring, deploying and maintaining computers, operating systems, business applications, software and related ICT equipment.
- Setting up and maintaining user accounts, email accounts, system access permissions and authentication credentials.
- Supporting Microsoft 365 and other business applications,



including assisting users with application functionality and resolving technical issues.
- Configuring and supporting workplace networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi and network-connected devices, and assisting with the diagnosis of network and connectivity issues.
- Setting up, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting peripheral equipment, including printers, scanners, monitors and other connected devices, and arranging repair or replacement where required.
- Configuring existing applications and systems to meet user and operational requirements and assisting with software updates, upgrades and system changes.
- Providing technical guidance and basic user training to staff to support the effective and appropriate use of ICT systems, applications and equipment.
- Monitoring routine ICT operations and undertaking preventative maintenance to support system reliability and minimise disruption.
- Maintaining accurate records of ICT equipment, software licences, user access, system configurations, technical issues and resolutions.
- Assisting with data backup, file management, information security practices and the protection of organisational systems and data.
- Liaising with external IT service providers,



software vendors and other technical specialists to investigate and resolve complex technical issues where required.
- Documenting recurring technical issues and developing basic procedures, troubleshooting guides and user instructions.
- Supporting the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the organisation’s ICT infrastructure and identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency and user experience.

About You We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and comfortable solving everyday technical problems.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience in IT support, help desk or a similar role
- Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and common office applications
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networks and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A reliable and proactive approach to work
