Junior Basketball Coach:

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Basketball Coach to run beginner basketball sessions for primary school-aged children.

The role involves teaching fundamental basketball skills in a fun, safe and engaging environment. Sessions are aimed primarily at beginners, so we are looking for someone who is patient, confident working with children and has a solid basketball background, whether through playing, coaching or competition experience.

Hours

- Mondays during public school terms 5:30-6:30pm
- Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm coaching sessions may also be available
- Possible chance to start from 2:00pm on Mondays and assist with general labour before coaching.

Responsibilities

- Run beginner-level basketball sessions for primary school-aged children
- Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing,



shooting and movement
- Organise age-appropriate drills, activities and games
- Help children develop confidence, teamwork and an understanding of basketball
- Set up and pack away basketball equipment

What we're looking for

- A solid basketball background with good knowledge of fundamental basketball skills and technique
- Previous basketball playing, competition or coaching experience
- Confident and comfortable working with primary school-aged children
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to Monday sessions during school terms

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
