Role Description The Junior Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Victoria, Australia. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting senior consultants with vegetation assessments, preparing basic reports, and assisting with recommendations for tree management and landscape design. The role involves collecting and organizing site data, taking photos and measurements, and maintaining accurate documentation for client projects.

Consultant communicates with clients and internal teams to clarify project requirements, schedule site visits, and ensure that work meets safety and quality standards.



The position also includes learning and applying relevant arboriculture and environmental guidelines, supporting project planning, and contributing to continuous improvement of service processes.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge or strong interest in arboriculture, vegetation management, landscaping, or environmental science.
- Ability to assist with field-based assessments, including collecting site data, performing basic measurements, and documenting findings accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support report preparation, client updates, and internal collaboration.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established procedures.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with a commitment to safe work practices and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets); familiarity with report templates or mapping tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a team setting, take direction from senior staff, and show initiative in learning new methods and standards.
- Relevant qualification or progress toward a qualification in arboriculture, horticulture, environmental management, or a related field is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different sites within Victoria as required.
