- Fixed term, full-time position until June 2027 (with possibility of extension)

- Salary Range $79,932-$84,292 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery high-quality infrastructure projects across the City. You will assist in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed designs for roads, drainage, cycling infrastructure, car parks and traffic calming projects. The role involves preparing construction drawings using AutoCAD and other design software, undertaking site investigations and inspections, assisting with project feasibility assessments.

What we’re Looking For The successful candidate will have:

- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience using AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including Australian Standards, Austroads Guides and Main Roads WA design standards
- Completed or currently undertaking a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Qualification or formal training in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Civil 3D
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and a current White Card (or willingness to obtain)
