Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Estimator to join our Adelaide team and support the successful delivery of projects across mining, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Junior Estimator will play an important role in supporting project delivery through estimating, planning, procurement, and administrative coordination.

This position is ideally suited to a developing estimator, engineering graduate, tradesperson looking to transition off the tools, or an individual with strong technical aptitude seeking a career in project delivery and operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with preparing quotations, tenders, and budget estimates from client scopes and project requirements.
- Review and interpret shop drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform quantity take-offs and assist in determining labour, equipment, and material requirements.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate material and equipment procurement.
- Process customer purchase orders and initiate project workflows.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain quotation registers, templates, databases, and quality documentation.




- Assist with project reporting, cost tracking, and post-project reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

- A trade qualification, engineering qualification, drafting qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience or exposure to mechanical, fabrication, maintenance, construction, or engineering environments.
- Exposure to and practical experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD,
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from shop drawings, fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience producing or modifying basic CAD drawings would be highly regarded.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to visualise components, assemblies, and fabrication requirements from drawings.
- Solid analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- A current driver's licence.
- Flexibility to undertake occasional ad hoc travel as required.
