This position is a full-time role located in Toowoomba. As a motivated and ambitious individual, you will follow a structured career pathway to develop into a qualified Financial Adviser through hands-on experience, mentoring and ongoing professional development within a dynamic, forward-thinking team. You will work with an extensive client base across a broad spectrum of financial planning advice including wealth creation, superannuation, retirement planning, diverse investment offerings such as IMAs and SMAs, intergenerational wealth, personal insurance and broader or more complex strategic advice.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with a team of experienced professionals in providing personalised financial advice to clients
- Assist with the creation of high-quality advice tailored to each client's needs
- Maintain continued professional development (CPD) requirements
- Develop new client and professional relationships based on trust and credibility
- Participate in investment committee meetings and all relevant training initiatives
- Participate and support any strategic business initiatives
- Prepare and present training or educational seminars to larger client or referrer groups
- Stay abreast of market trends, financial products and regulatory changes to provide informed and compliant advice
- Collaborate with product providers, accountants, lawyers, mortgage brokers and other external parties to ensure the delivery of holistic financial solutions
- Maintain a high level of compliance and quality standards according to advice principles,
policies and guidelines
About you
- Completion of an approved degree seeking to commence your Professional Year or recently completed your Professional Year
- Financial planning industry experience (or similar) in roles such as paraplanning or client services (preferred but not essential)
- Technical knowledge across financial markets, superannuation, retirement income streams and all forms of investments with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
