Our Key

Workers are highly trained, multidisciplinary professionals- people who bring expertise from various fields such as neuroscience, play therapy, psychology, education, naturopathy, functional nutrition, osteopathy, physiotherapy, laser therapy, and more!

Leading

Lights seeks to support the whole team around the child by also ensuring support is offered to parents and carers, siblings and extended family, and schools and teachers. We even support children to access NDIS by assessing for eligibility and navigating this overwhelming space for families. We aim to meet each child in their space, wherever that may be in their health journey.

About the Role

Duties of the role would include:

- Experienced Teacher or Allied Health therapist who will be supporting children in all areas of their development including learning, memory & cognition, motor skills, sensory,



emotional regulation and anxiety, trauma recovery, communication, social skills, self-care and other daily living skills.
- Provision of fun-filled, and engaging therapy which is tailored to participants using a combination of field-related expertise, collaborative input, and creative passion for promoting the best outcomes.
- Creating and implementing therapy plans to support the upskilling of parents/ carers, Key Workers, educators, and the entire team within each child's life.
- Goal setting with clients and their families/ carers.
- Collaboration and correspondence with other professionals as required (Paediatricians, Doctors, teachers, other therapists, work colleagues).
- Developing comprehensive reports and support letters to maximize the outcomes of our families.
- Working within clinic, and school settings to deliver supports to each child.
- Upskilling families and carers to best support the needs of their child and achieve optimal outcomes
- Navigating NDIS Plans and supporting families to understand the NDIS process.
- Delivering 1:1 therapy sessions with children
- Collaboration within our amazing multi-disciplinary team to develop informed strategies for working with clients
- Administering relevant assessments across our dynamic caseloads.
- Adapting to the needs of each client in real-time, to ensure that each child really is the Leading Light in their own health journey!
- Mentoring and providing advice to other key members of each child's team.
- The option of working in the clinic, school, community environments.

What you will need to succeed in the role

- COMPLETED (Bachelor level or above) Tertiary qualification and Registration with affiliated body.
- NSW Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- ACT Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Current drivers license.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team.
- A desire to make a real difference within the community.
- Experience within pediatrics.
- A passion and willingness to learn from a range of holistic, and other health practitioners.
- A willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing skills in areas you’re not familiar with.

Pay: $70,042.97 – $134,889.32 per year
