About the role

Christo's Greek Kitchen & Bar is seeking passionate and skilled Kitchen professionals and All Rounders (Chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Hands) to join our culinary team on a full time and part time basis. Based in Torquay VIC 3228, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment where quality, authenticity, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. You will be instrumental in preparing and cooking delicious Greek cuisine that delights our guests and maintains the high standards Christos Greek Kitchen is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook Greek dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and delivered to the service team within required timeframes
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to support smooth service during busy periods
- Receive and check incoming ingredients for quality and freshness
- Follow portion control guidelines and manage ingredient usage responsibly
- Maintain equipment in positive working order and report any issues promptly
- Respond positively to feedback and continuously improve cooking techniques and efficiency

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a kitchen environment, ideally with experience in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high quality standards




- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of kitchen work
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Current food handling certification or willingness to obtain one
