Spring Creek Barramundi is an industry leader in Barramundi aquaculture, located in Townsville. Australian owned and operated, we have been successfully farming Barramundi for over 25 years.

We are seeking a Aquaculture Supervisor to join our production team. As an Aquaculture Supervisor, you will assist the coordination of day-to-day operations on-site, guiding and supporting a team of workers to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will assist your manager with coordinating tasks, maintaining quality control, and completing operational procedures. As Supervisor, you will complete technical and office-based tasks as well as being hands on with the team.

In addition, you will be strongly supported and mentored by our Growout Manager to ensure your continued development.

We have a strong, established team of long-term managers, supervisors and senior technicians who will support you in your role.

n

This position is offered on an attractive 9-day fortnight roster, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities: with help from our other managers.

n

- Assist the Management of day-to-day operationsof our Barramundi production system.
n
- Report to, and collaborate with the Growout Manager to meet production goals
n
- Supervise daily farming tasks and organize staff within a small team.
n
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule tasks efficiently to meet production goals.
n
- Provide training to new and existing staff members.
n
- Carry out technical aquaculture tasks
n
- Operate farm machinery and equipment.
n
- Cultivate a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with operational standards.
n
- Purchasing and ordering supplies as needed.
n
- Support and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
n




- Ensure accurate records are kept of all production processes.
n

Required Skills & Experience:

n

n
- Relevant qualifications or experience in Aquaculture Management.
n
- Knowledge of farming practices and experience in a similar role.
n
- Proven track record of leading small teams in a safety-first environment.
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
n
- Strong coaching capabilities to empower staff and foster teamwork.
n
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
n
- A practical, operationally minded, hands-on approach
n
- A commitment to workplace safety, animal welfare, continual improvement and teamwork.

Specific PositionRequirements:

- Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Current Forklift and Telehandler Licenses (or willingness to obtain).
