Immediate Start | $34.00 per hour + shift loading + state allowance | Overtime Available BWA Gas is seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers to join our LPG cylinder processing team at the ELGAS site in Lytton, QLD.

This is a casual position initially, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment for the right person.

You’ll be joining a safety-focused team working in a busy production environment, with consistent hours, training provided and opportunities for regular overtime.

About the role As a Labourer, you will assist with the processing and re-testing of LPG cylinders. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires a strong focus on safety, quality and following established procedures.

Your duties will include:

Sorting and preparing LPG cylinders for re-testing

Removing and installing cylinder valves

Hole-punching cylinders that have failed testing

Recovering LPG from cylinders being re-tested

General labouring and production duties as required

Following Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all site safety requirements

The team can process up to 700 cylinders per day, so the ability to maintain a consistent pace while working safely is important.

We have 2 shifts currently available:

Afternoon: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$2.00 per hour state allowance

15% loading (afternoon shift only)

About You

The physical capacity to lift up to 20kg repetitively

A strong work ethic and reliable attendance

The ability to follow instructions, SOPs and safety procedures

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A willingness to complete an online induction

The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid Australian working rights

Be 18 years of age or older

Public transport to the site is not available. A current driver's license and your own reliable transport is essential.
