Job Description

Temporary part time opportunity to provide level 2 ambulatory diagnostic sleep studies, including set-up in a weekly mixed model – either in patient's home, accompanied by nurse, or in clinic at RBWH or North Lakes; analysis of the results and provision of reports for medical officer finalisation.

About the role

Temporary part time opportunity to perform sleep investigations accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, whilst maintaining patient investigation standards through the application of evidence-based practices in accordance with current laboratory procedures and guidelines and Queensland Health policies and directives.

About you

n

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Effectively undertake rostered provision of level 2 ambulatory sleep studies, scoring and reporting duties with competence and accuracy and participate in laboratory technical and service development, and education and research as required.
n
- Perform prescribed duties within a multi-disciplinary team and effectively interact with other hospital staff, patients and members of the public with respect, discretion and diplomacy.
n
- Actively participate in the clinical, educational,



and training activities of the multidisciplinary team and undertake development of knowledge and skills in accordance with current laboratory accreditation standards, guidelines and practices.

- Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to less experienced polysomnographic staff, work experience students, and/or those involved in observational clinical placements.
