The Role:

n

You will workas part of HART's Culture & Wellbeing team, based in our Lismore office andreporting to the Chief People Officer. This is an entry‐level, WHS role withreal room to grow. It is well suited to a recent WHS graduate, or someone earlyin their WHS career, and you will be supported and mentored as you build yourskills.

n

Some of yourday-to-day duties will include:

n

Hazard identification, risk assessments andthe implementation of risk controls across HART sites and activities

n

Overseeing HART's incident, hazard and injuryregister, investigation and follow up procedures

n

Lead and coordinate the WHS Committee,including meetings, agendas and action tracking

n

WHS training and induction for workers,volunteers and contractors

n

Emergency preparedness activities andmaintaining current WHS documentation and procedures

n





Coordinating workers compensation, contractorWHS compliance and WHS audits, and consulting with workers on safety matters

n

Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health andSafety, or a related field (or working towards completion) – recent graduateswelcome

n

Sound understanding of, or willingness todevelop knowledge of, the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) and Regulations

n

Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, including the ability to explain WHS requirements clearly to workersand volunteers

n

Ability to work effectively across all levelsof the organisation

n

Strong attention to detail, with the abilityto accurately maintain WHS registers, records and documentation

n

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with awillingness to learn HART's WHS systems

n

Current driver's licence, with a willingnessto travel to HART locations across the Northern Rivers region as required

n

Relevant placements, internships orstudy will be highly regarded.

n

Experience in the aged care, disability orcommunity services sector

n
