Apprentice air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic 2nd or 3rd year The Experts Oz Pty Ltd is looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic with hands‑on installation experience to join one of our installation teams. This is a full‑time position based in Ormeau, QLD 4208. You'll work as part of a 4-person crew installing ducted and split system air conditioning across residential and commercial sites throughout South East Queensland.

What you'll be doing

Installing ducted and split air conditioning systems as part of a 4-person installation crew

Running and fabricating ductwork, pipework, and associated components

Mounting indoor/outdoor units, running refrigerant lines, and completing brazing and pressure testing as your skill level allows

Working from plans and job specs to complete installs to a high standard

Keeping accurate job documentation and completed-work records

Supporting the team across both residential and commercial projects

Attending scheduled training sessions and completing apprenticeship coursework

Following all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies

What we're looking for

Currently in your 2nd or 3rd year of an accredited air conditioning and refrigeration apprenticeship





Hands‑on experience installing both ducted and split air conditioning systems

Comfortable working as part of a 4-person installation team

Working towards (or holding) your Certificate III

Confident with hand tools, power tools, and basic refrigeration/electrical practices

Physically fit and capable of working at heights and in confined spaces

Current driver's licence and reliable transport

Reliable, punctual, and a solid team player

Genuine commitment to completing your apprenticeship and progressing in the trade
