Learn practical skills and help our team get the job done

HTC supplies container homes and portable buildings. We are looking for reliable labourers and trades assistants to support our team at the HTC site in Mulgrave.

This is a hands-on role helping with the everyday jobs that keep work moving: getting materials ready, assisting tradespeople, helping with practical tasks and leaving work areas clean and organised. It suits someone starting out or building their practical experience. No trade qualification or previous trades assistant experience is required.

What you will do

- Prepare work areas and get tools, materials and supplies ready for the team.

- Assist tradespeople with basic assembly, fitting and general maintenance tasks under their direction.

- Move and organise materials safely, and help with loading, unloading and deliveries around the site.

- Help with site and yard upkeep, remove rubbish and packaging, and tidy up after jobs.

- Use hand tools and basic power tools as trained, follow secure work instructions and report hazards or damaged equipment.

What you will need

- A current driver's licence and a White Card are essential.

- Reliability,



punctuality and a dependable way to get to Mulgrave for a 7am start.

- A willingness to learn, follow instructions and ask when you are unsure.

- The ability to safely carry out an active role involving standing, bending and moving materials, using appropriate equipment and team lifting.

- A helpful attitude and care for the quality of your work, including the clean-up.

A forklift licence and working-at-heights training are advantages, but are not essential. Experience with tools, DIY, labouring, warehousing or other practical work is useful. We welcome applicants who are new to this type of work.

What we offer

- Full-time permanent employment based at our Mulgrave site.

- 7am–3pm working hours.

- $30–$35 per hour base pay, depending on practical skills and relevant experience, plus superannuation.

- Applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances paid separately.

- On-the-job training, clear direction and the opportunity to learn from experienced team members.
