About the role

We are seeking an experienced Landscaping Leading Hand or Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis in Perth. In this position, you will take on a supervisory and hands-on role, leading landscaping teams on site whilst contributing directly to project delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and skilled service delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate landscaping teams on site, ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
- Plan and organise daily work schedules and allocate tasks to team members
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all staff adhere to health and safety protocols
- Monitor project progress and quality of workmanship, making adjustments as needed
- Operate landscaping equipment and machinery safely and effectively
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients regarding progress and any issues
- Maintain accurate site records, timesheets and documentation
- Identify and resolve on-site problems promptly to keep projects on track
- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored





What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Landscaping Leading Hand or similar supervisory role in the landscaping industry
- Robust knowledge of landscaping techniques, plants, soil preparation and garden construction methods
- Competency in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and machinery
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, staff and management
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements and best practices on construction sites
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites across Perth
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred: Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Construction or related field
- Preferred: First Aid certification and working knowledge of relevant safety standards
