About the role

We are looking for an experienced Laundry Manager to take charge of our evening production operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the production team, keep work flowing across every processing area and make sure customer orders go out accurately and on time, while hitting our labour, productivity and cost targets. This is a senior, long-term position and you will be part of our leadership team, helping the business achieve its bigger goals. It is a excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow their management experience and knowledge.

Hours: This role works the evening closing shift on weekdays, plus Saturdays and public holidays as required.

What you'll do

· Run evening production across washing, drying, finishing, folding and packing through to close · Lead, supervise and develop the production team, including shift briefings and toolbox meetings

· Allocate labour and coordinate breaks so every area keeps running and production targets and delivery deadlines are met

· Track and improve weekly efficiency (our main KPI) and washer turn efficiency, and drive continuous improvement





· Uphold linen quality standards, investigate quality complaints and put corrective actions in place

· Keep the site safe through WHS compliance, workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations

· Work closely with maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and keep preventative maintenance on track

· Monitor linen flow, assist with stocktakes and linen audits, and minimise linen loss and damage

· Support the Operations Manager with recruitment, onboarding, training, attendance and rosters

· Close the site at the end of shift: shut down equipment and utilities, and secure the facility and front gate

About you

Essential

· Proven leadership and people management skills · Strong organisation and planning abilities

· Confidence analysing production data and KPI reports

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

· A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

· Availability for the closing shift (afternoon/evening), plus weekends and public holidays as required

Highly regarded

· Experience in a commercial laundry, manufacturing, food processing or production environment manufacturing or continuous improvement experience · Supervisory or management qualifications

· Mechanical aptitude and equipment knowledge
