Xavier College is seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Learning Hub Coordinator to oversee day to day operations of the student library hub space at our Gawler Belt (7-12) campus.

Commencing Monday, 23 November 2026, this permanent part-time position, working 45 weeks per year, offers an organised and detail-focused professional the opportunity to support teaching leaders, staff and students by managing resources, maintaining databases and inventory levels, and assisting with student supervision within the Student Hub. As the Learning Hub Coordinator, you will:

- Lead the day-to-day operations of a vibrant Student Hub, supporting student learning, engagement and wellbeing.
- Manage and develop the library and resource centre, ensuring resources, catalogues and databases are maintained effectively and accurately.
- Guide and support a dedicated team of Education Support Officers, fostering collaboration and service excellence.
- Work closely with students and staff to promote information literacy, research skills and independent learning.
- Curate and enhance a diverse collection of print, digital and multimedia resources to support teaching and learning.
- Utilise innovative library technologies and systems to deliver efficient, student-focused services and resource management.
- Partner with teaching and leadership staff to provide specialised resources, library services and learning support that strengthen classroom outcomes.
- Lead library promotions, displays and initiatives that encourage reading, curiosity and student participation, while fostering an engaging, welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

What you need to be successful

- A formal tertiary qualification (e.g.

Advanced

Diploma) in Library and Information Services (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated competencies in a comparable role.

- Full technical competency to operate office and dedicated library/resource equipment and have excellent proficiency using a computer, applicable programs and a range of ICT equipment.
- Ability to interact professionally and positively with excellent ability to foster collaboration, clarity, and flexibility in your management style.

- Excellent proficiency of MS Word, Excel and database competency.
- Willingness to positively participate in required training.
