Arafura Pest Control is looking for an experienced Pest Control Technician to join our Darwin team. You'll work across a genuine mix of residential, commercial and government sites, with scheduled remote community work throughout the NT and the Kimberley in WA. This role would suit a technician who is confident working independently, takes pride in doing the job properly and is comfortable dealing directly with customers.
Key responsibilities
- General pest inspections and treatments across residential and commercial properties
- Identifying pest issues and recommending appropriate treatment solutions
- Completing termite and timber pest work where qualified
- Servicing government facilities and remote NT communities
- Maintaining accurate digital service and treatment records
- Managing your vehicle, equipment and stock
- Providing professional, straightforward advice to customers
About you
- Current Pest Management Technician Licence – General Pest
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to safety, detail and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and manage your daily workload
- Willingness to undertake scheduled remote travel, including overnight and multi-day trips
- Ability to obtain required police and client clearances
Not essential but highly regarded:
- Timber pest qualifications and experience
- Termite inspection and treatment experience
- Certificate III in Urban Pest Management
- Experience working on commercial or government contracts
- Remote or regional work experience
- Current First Aid
