Licensed Electrician / Leading Hand

Domestic & Commercial Fit-Outs | Full-Time | Sydney We are looking for an experienced Licensed Electrician / Leading Hand to join our growing electrical team.

About the Role

You will be working across a variety of domestic, commercial and fit-out projects throughout Sydney, carrying out electrical installations while also taking responsibility for running jobs and supervising other tradesmen and apprentices.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing day-to-day electrical works on site
- Leading and supervising electricians and apprentices
- Organising tasks and making sure the team is productive
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings and specifications
- Coordinating with builders, site managers, clients and other trades
- Planning materials and labour requirements
- Identifying issues early and helping provide practical solutions
- Ensuring installations are completed correctly and to a high standard
- Maintaining site safety and compliance
- Taking responsibility for projects from rough-in through to fit-off, testing and completion
- Reporting back to management on progress, issues and requirements

What We're Looking For

You must be a fully licensed electrician with solid experience across residential and/or commercial electrical projects. Ideally, you will have:

- Current NSW Electrical Licence




- Current driver's licence
- Construction White Card
- Strong domestic and commercial electrical experience
- Commercial fit-out experience
- Ability to confidently read electrical plans
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience supervising tradesmen and apprentices
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deal professionally with builders, clients and other contractors
- Pride in your workmanship
- A proactive attitude — someone who sees what needs to be done and gets it done

Leadership

Leadership is a major part of this position. We need someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for a site and who can lead from the front.

That means setting the standard for the other boys, keeping jobs organised, making sure work is completed properly and efficiently, helping younger tradesmen and apprentices develop, and communicating with management when something needs attention.

We're not looking for someone who simply turns up, gets given a task and goes home. We're looking for someone who wants responsibility and takes pride in helping run successful projects.
