The role

We're looking for an experienced Lift Installer to join our installation team. You'll be installing home lifts and dumbwaiters from delivery through to commissioning and handover — working as part of a crew on larger jobs, and independently on smaller installation and service work.

This role involves driving every day. You'll be responsible for loading the vehicle at our Alexandria workshop, transporting lift components, tools and equipment to site, and returning at the end of the job. Our work vehicle is a manual transmission van/truck under 4.5t GVM, so you must hold a full licence with manual entitlement and be genuinely confident driving manual — including loaded, in tight Sydney streets, driveways and underground car parks.

Key responsibilities

- Load, transport and unload lift components, tools and equipment daily using the company vehicle (manual, under 4.5t)
- Move and position components on site, including in confined residential spaces
- Assemble and install lift shafts, guide rails, cabins, doors, drive systems and control panels to manufacturer specifications
- Read and work from technical drawings and installation manuals
- Carry out levelling, alignment, testing, fault-finding and commissioning
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on installed lifts
- Complete installation and service documentation accurately
- Work safely and keep the site clean and compliant at all times

What you'll need





- Full Australian driver's licence with manual (non-automatic) entitlement — essential. Daily driving of a manual work vehicle is a core part of this role

Highly regarded

- Working at Heights and/or EWP (elevating work platform) ticket
- Confined Space ticket
- Electrical or electronics background, or experience with control systems and wiring
- Welding experience
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade), Lift Mechanic or similar qualification
- Forklift licence
- Bilingual (English / Mandarin or Cantonese) — useful when working with our supplier and some clients
- Minimum 2 years' experience in lift installation, servicing or a closely related trade (mechanical fitting, engineering, structural steel, automatic doors)
- Hands-on experience with home lifts and/or dumbwaiters
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation manuals
- Confident using power tools, hand tools and measuring equipment
- Physically fit — the role involves regular heavy lifting, working in tight spaces and working at heights
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Positive communication skills, and the ability to work in a team as well as unsupervised
- Reliable, punctual and able to problem-solve on site
- Full Australian working rights

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
