We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for a well known Transport client located within the Townsville, QLD Area.

About the role The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the warehouse. This role oversees daily workflow, manages staff and third-party partners, and supports accurate and timely handling of parcels to meet operational targets and customer expectations. The Operations Supervisor acts as a key point of leadership on the floor, maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality, while supporting continuous improvement in warehouse processes and team performance.

Key responsibilities

Manage relationships and daily operations with third-party providers, including courier drivers, Blu/Cot partners, and depot operations teams

Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures; monitor warehouse activities to proactively prevent accidents and incidents

Regularly monitor and respond to emails, internal systems,



and dashboards to stay informed and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders

Participate in operational tasks as required, including cage sorting, loading/unloading, and assisting with parcel processing during peak periods

Train and support Blu courier staff and other team members on processes, safety, and operational expectations

Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and service quality

Monitor team performance against operational targets, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high standards are consistently met

About you

Warehouse, logistics, and/or courier industry experience required

Familiarity with scanning, sorting, and basic freight handling processes

Basic computer skills and ability to use internal systems (e.g., scanning tools, email, dashboards)

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience with customer service is a plus

Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 15–25kg

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active setting

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Reliable and punctual with good time management skills

A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
